Using the Digital Skills Portal

You can use the Digital Skills Portal in any way you wish but to make the most out of your training experience we recommend your start with ASSESS and then follow the flow.

  • 1. Assess – your level of digital confidence using the diagnostic questionnaire.
  • 2. Learn – all about digital planning via the easy to read book.
  • 3. Develop – your expertise whether a novice or more advanced.
  • 4. Engage – with us and tell us more about your digital needs and development.

Background to the Digital Skills Portal

Developing the digital confidence of planners, across Scotland, has been integral to the Scottish Government’s Digital Transformation Programme. To assist in achieving this, the Digital Team have worked in collaboration, with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Scotland to support the improvement of digital skills in planning. That’s where the Digital Skills portal comes in. An online resource to help build-up understanding and highlight opportunities for training, for all planners, regardless of their ability or role. With thanks to our Delivery Partners who have helped throughout.
